The Engineering and Technology Industry Council (ETIC) was established in 1997 by the Oregon Legislature through SB504 to establish criteria and measurements that will be used for determining investments made from the Oregon Engineering Education Investment Fund.
Mission:
Make post-secondary engineering and technology education a strategic resource that fuels the Oregon economy and creates opportunity for all Oregonians.
Vision:
Oregon’s engineering & technology education and research programs are strategic assets for Oregon’s economy and Oregon’s residents by:
- providing businesses a competitive advantages in the global economy;
- providing unique programs of the highest quality that meet the needs of Oregon’s industry clusters;
- attracting resources to Oregon from throughout the world;
- doubling the number of bachelors, masters, and PhDs receiving a globally competitive engineering education; and
- performing innovative research that gives existing and new businesses a competitive advantages in the global economy.
